    sammy Coca-Cola?

Don't ask me how I know...

"Guarentee no compression" means "may have broken crank shaft"
" No major cancer" means "oh god PLEASE don't let him look at the hat channels on this side, thank god it's up against a wall"

"Yaaa I was gonna drop a Yoda 4cyl in her" means "Don't trust me"
"I drove her in the desert roads" means "Hope you got a shovel... You'll need it to get it out of the tub"
Little bolts if turned the wrong way WILL snap.
Don't use impact wrenches on anything...

And last but not least, use the right tool for the right job, and use it from the beginning, don't screw around with it R)

a 70 CJ5 for $500.00, even running, is NOT always a good deal........

    jplumb Her tractor first, now...

Rest assured that if you tell your neighbor..."Let me know if you ever want to get rid of that old jeep." he will let you know when you are buying a new house and have two little munchkins that need food and clothes more than you need your "hobby" project running.

Also, when you laugh at a guy that has had the non-running jeep in his garage to "work on it" for the past 20 years...the rate at which you get your jeep running will be slowed up incredibly by life itself!

When your wife asks "Is there anything I can help with".
You say "Sure, would you put all the tools away so I can find them when I need them?"
She will leave half of them out, and the other half will be put in the wrong place.

I think they are...... I'd throw this particular one away rather than changing the battery again (kind of like a kids toy ;) ).

I was just trying to do my new-to-town cousin a favor. This is the first time in ~12 years that I have had family in the same place I live.

Ummm they are alot of fun ,,,, I got offered a free M38a1 that was in pretty good shape with a mess of freebe parts when I was 18 and laughed at the guy.

5 years later Im still kicking myself.

I think my 1st learning experence years ago was that lug nuts come in right and LEFT hand thread.

I was thankful I read all these forums before I tore into the 2A... I would have been breaking out the torch on those lug nuts...

    Thing's I wish I knew:

Bondo can make a jeep look rust free when it is 1/4" thick.

Hat channels contain moisture holding wood... floors can look solid, but have no support left underneath.

Having more then one jeep is not only more expensive, but much more time consuming.
