Does anyone know where the parking brake handle mounts on a 65 cj. I recently purchased a used one (umbrella style) to hook up the parking brake thats on the rear of the transfer case. Also how do you route the cable from the firewall to the parking brake lever that sticks out from the drivers side of the drum. Where can I find the cable anyone know the part #?

I bought the whole kit and kaboodle out of a '56 CJ5. Here's some photos of it while it was still mounted.

Of course, the spot welds are all broke on the brackets, and the cable is rusted solid, but I got one now! I can re-weld the brackets, and I can get a new cable from Walck's. A little smoke, fire, bead-blasting and paint, and it should be good as new.

You wouldn't by chance have a photo showing how the cable is secured to the crossmember by the transfer case would you? My jeep arrived sans cable.

When you mount the end of the cable make sure you allow for future adjustment to account for "stretch" Mine is adjusted allthe way tight on the adjuster and on the inner hole on the arm and just barely holds the vehicle in place. of coarse once I degreased the the EM brake and drum assembly it worked better R)
