Here's some shots of a bumper I'm building. Think I'm getting better with the stick welder. Having fun anyhow. :D

    Constructive criticism welcome - thx.

Its kinda hard to tell how thick the bumper material is, but you may want to put some kind of support bars/braces from the reciever down the bumper to help resist side to side movement

It's 1/4". It'll all be boxed in when I'm done, but was considering doing the braces inside anyhow. Overkill?

It does take practice. I like stick welders, they are so underrated now, because evreyone thinks you need a MIG. Given doing a roll cage with a stick is something i will never do again, but i can do pretty much all of it with my old school stick welder :) Plus it is great practice for when something breask on the trail and need to put a few batteries together to weld something up :)

If my stick welding looked like that, I wouldn't depend on MIG so much...lookin' good!

Looks great. Keep it up, cause my cousin use to be able to stick weld sheet metal until he quit messing with it for a year or so. Now he is just now getting back good at it after the last year of crappy welding. He did finally get him a mig though, so it's all good.
