thats the ticket... I mounted mine on the top side of the bumper for more clearance with the winch on...

Beauty! I love the blue paint, dude. And the chrome bumper adds some class.

You might want to start a new thread about this ...

The 2100 is not hard to rebuild. Get a kit from your FLAPS and give it a try. I don't think you need an exotic kit to rebuild it properly.

FRIENDLY local auto parts store..... close :D

The MC2100 can be rebuilt by a monkey with a butter knife.
Get a kit from your FLAPS and go to town. Take pictures of the tear down to help reassembly if your nervous. The only tricky part in my opinion is the float pivot spring clip, just pay attention of how it clips on.

Post up any questions or problems.

Post up a picture of the carb, the only way to know, you dont know what was swapped in over the last 36 years.

If it's a 258, and a '75, it came from the factory with a 1V Carter YF carburetor. The 258 did not get a 2V carb (the Carter BBD) until 1977 in the Wagoneers and trucks, and not till a year or two later for the CJs.

Solex sells a 1V replacement for the YF that is popular for the WIllys 4-cylinder engines. No idea whether it would be suitable for a 258 - I doubt it would be ok direct from the box.

If you have a BBD, the only new carb sold that is a direct replacement is the Holley-Weber 32-36 DGEV sold by Redline. It works well, but your definition of cheap has to include $330.

    Wow...I'm impressed. Great looking Jeep!

Love my '75 best Jeep made. I may be a little prejudice though, had mine for over 30 years.

I'd love to have a copy of your window sticker, that's one item I haven't been able to locate. Any chance you could scan and email?

I suggest you start a new thread with your new question. That's how it's supposed to work here. Tacking on an unrelated question to one of your old threads will not get a good response.
