I was reassembling some of the parts on the Jeep and noticed that the rubber on the footman's loops that support the windshield where in bad shape and missing in some places. After spending a bunch of time fixing up the windshield frame I was worried that the loops might tear up the frame. I went to the workbench to grab a wrench to take them back off I spied the can of Rubberize-It on the shelf and got an idea.

Rubberize-It is made to dip the handles of your tools in to give them a rubberlike handle. I dipped the loops with a few coats and whala, just like new!

I think this stuff might work for the riser supports that mount over the windshield wipers to keep the windshield off the hood too.

Sorry, my camera doesn't have a macro lens so I can't get a good close up pic. (I've got blurry ones if you want :) )

I got mine at Home Depot, and I've seen at Lowes. Home depot had it in the paint dept. It runs about $5-6 a can.
