We were fortunate to pickup this gem last week to add to the fleet. The P.O. told us that they had it running couple years ago.
As for the trencher part, that's going to take some time before we attempt that overhaul. thumbnail_IMG_9528.jpg

I'm sure some of you have seen pic's before but here is the actual Jeep.

Pretty cool. Did they stop making those with the advent of the intermediates?

The Jeep looks to be around a ‘68?
I know that version trencher was made, have never actually seen one. I’ve been around a couple of the earlier versions made by Auburn Gear (Auburn Jeep-a-Trench).
The whole rig looks to be in pretty good shape.
    Nice rescue -Donny

Like it. Anxious to follow the progress. I had a Auburn Jeep A Trench for a short while. Never got any of it to run. I didn't have the dual rear wheels though. Yours will be a nice piece when its done.

It looks like a '70. It's got the curved top glass and side markers in the front fenders, but still has the under seat tank.

Unfortunately, not this trip. The P.O. told us it was in his dad's woods.... somewhere. We might have a local source from a good collector friend.

Luckily, we have both the Auburn Machine Works early (mechanical) and later (Hydraulic) operated trenchers that run and trench dirt.

The one we picked up is the GO-FOR-DIGGER Trenching Machine Company unit.

Cool. I've got a 69. All that's left is the dually axle. Everything else was pulled off by my uncle before I got it

I just love the dual wheel Jeep. There was this guy north of Cinncy that had several of them outside rusting away

A guy up by our Cabin had one of those for sale, I stopped and talked to him, it had a tag on it said built for the Railroad. It was all there.

That may be one of those I posted about in post#4. There was one I remember in the mid-70’s outside Hamilton/Fairfield area. My dad was shopping for a trencher and looked at a Jeep-a-Trench up there. We ended up with an Aarps Trencher, self contained, all belt drive from a plumbing company (PH Broering?) back in Cincy.

Nice. The seat looks like from a Renegade I or II.
