Eh...t98 is too rare to put behind a dauntless. Pluss the bellhouse issue.

A lot to think about here...the 225 is of course an excellent engine for a CJ. The transfer case behind it would be the large case D18. which is stronger than earlier versions but has the single shifter. Up to you if you want single or twin sticks, on mine I wound up building a large case 18 with the twin stick shifter. The real question here is the trans. If the 67 has the stock 3 speed it'd be the T86 which doesn't have a sterling reputation. Personally. I'd sell your T98 and use that money to get the 4 speed of your choice to go behind the Dauntless.

    1967 could be either T86AA or T14.

    I still have a 6.32 Ford T18 for sale.
Includes the rear D18/20 adapter plate and has a Jeep main shaft ( output).
Was listed on here a while back for $400.
Lots of interest but no takers.

I’d certainly be willing to take in a T98-A on trade.

A 67 WILL BE the T86AA unless it has already puked and been replaced. It is also something I would not consider for a transplant. If going this route, replace the T86 guts with T90J parts!

You’re right on that John. Best I can narrow it down from the books is that the T14 must have begun sometime after mid year 1968 and prior to 1970.
