Getting ready to convert two of my Jeeps to one piece tie rods using a two hole steering knuckle which eliminates the need for the tie rod end with the center socket.

Appreciate the Speedway motors link, that looks like the way to go.

Do you have a 2 hole RH steering knuckle?
    Do you have Saginaw steering?

No, staying with Ross box, recently rebuilt. Not interested in cutting/welding frame, just want to eliminate the middle joint and beef up the linkage.
I am purchasing two hole knuckles for later use, finishing up a scrambler moto so no time to get deeply involved with the CJ at the moment.

Looking to build what I need or buy the OEM length/setup custom by Herm. But saw this and thought it may be similar.

For the 2 hole knuckle swap I just finished, I used 2ea of ES62L and ES140R. I got my TRE's from NAPA
I used 1" OD x .188" wall (.624" ID) DOM tubing for the tie rods

I'll quibble a bit- the CJ stock center TRE that connects to the bellcrank has the wrong "bend" in it to work well , i.e .is frustrating & generates much bad language, at the passenger side knuckle. The passenger side tre from early Commandos that came stock with the one piece rod have the correct bend in them, that's the p/n I posted above.

so most of the pieces I picked from AA are correct then as it uses the correct bend Commando passenger TRE, albeit all new parts vs reusing any of the old OEM
