Hey all, I'm doing a total rewire and I'm down to the alternator. I'm running the stock Motorola externally regulated alternator and almost have everything connected except the yellow wire that comes off the regulator. According to the schematic I can take it to the + side of the coil but I just want to be sure because the 75 is an odd year for wiring.

That's what it looks like on mine. Had to do some tracing in the loom. The yellow changes color somewhere in between. o_O

The wiring in mine was very sketchy. I had numerous splices where the two wire ends were soldered together and one wrap of duct tape or nothing at all and corroded grounds.
On another note, what Levis package is your jeep? I have T-500 Bucket seats, Blue Levi, vinyl but they were recovered in black before I got it.

021 paint 501 trim. Black and tan. I still have the original seats. Covers and dash pad are still the Levi tan material.

Now wouldn't be a bad time to do a 10SI swap. It is a simple upgrade and will eliminate the external voltage regulator.

I have one but it doesn't fit the bracket, the fan hits. Can I swap fans from the Motorola unit?

I looked at converting when my regulator failed but depth was also a problem. Oil pressure sender was in the way.
