Front Axle.

I am installing a set of Spicer axles in the place of Dana. I know that I need a snap ring on the end of the shaft. But my question is there a washer or anything that goes behind the snap ring and the hub plate.

 

They don't all have snap rings. The set of axles you got from me did not have snap rings when I pulled them, but I don't remember if they had the grooves for them.

 

Get yourself an FSM. They have detailed parts breakdowns of all the components.

No washer.

 

Old pappy yes they are grooved. And yes I need to find a TM on the M38A1. I have TMs on 151 and M35.

 

The Jeep was mostly disassembled when I got it, he may have started to remove the hubs at some point, changed his mind and forgot to put the snap rings back on.

Don't have much left of the CJ5 I have been parting out, but I do have a few things. I just listed a nice dash panel and hood in the classifieds.
