Early Non-vented Windshield Refurb/color

I'm gonna have to make a good effort to get this one out of there tonight, as th ehinges are going to the chromer tomorrow.

 

Got the windshield back from paint! Boy oh boy did they did a great job. I got talked into Satin which might be a little less shiny than it rolled off the factory floor in 1966 but I think it will make a nice contrast with the glossy PR#2.

So - do I need to put any adhesive or sealant around the hinge posts up inside the frame, or between the tops of the hinges where they bolt to the frame? If I recall there was some sort of glue there when I took it apart.

I can't imagine that any kind of glue was used, or would do any good since there are bolts holding everything. Maybe it was anti-seize or some kind of lubricant. Hey, what are you coating the jeep body bolts with? They look good.

 

They’re a Totally Stainless CJ5 kit, recessed hex head version. Body Kit 6-2466
