Bolt Heads For Body Mounts?

Were they carriage bolt heads? The ones with heads on top? If so what kept them from spinning?

    Any better options for resto-mod?

I don't know what was factory, but you said resto-mod, so technically this thread is out of place.
For my resto-mod, I used the hex-head bolts that were included in my body mount kit. These kits are readily available from several sources.
I see this kit has both rounded head and hex head bolts. Maybe there are some square holes in the tub<?> I don't recall.

The body mount holes that go through the floor of the tub were square holes and used carriage bolts. Of course, many of the holes have been rounded out over the years.

My all original 56 doesn't have carriage bolts. And neither did my 66 when I took the tub off. They were all hex head bolts.

Front floor are hex on Tonk, the rear floor has carriage bolt-ish type units refereed to in the parts manual as "step bolts".
