Came across a CJ2A with a ventilating windshield. The rest of the Jeeps toast. What's one worth?

All 2As have venting windshields. The inner frame rots out and they break or get bent where the side tubing curves to go tot he windshield hinge. If it is in good shape, they bring a few hundred dollars.

Didn't know that. Don't remember my 2A having one, but that was 40 some years ago.:)

All 2As "had" venting windshields, many got replaced due to damage and most often used were those from a CJ3A. So, your 2A may not have had its original windwshield.

The Jeep in your link would not be worth that asking price around here. Not really much there for parts, the F head is the wrong engine for a 2A, it has a bad transmission, and the axles aren't worth much until they are verified good condition. Frame has those huge bumpers welded onto it so can't say what shape it is in.

The windshield is salvageable, but it shows signs of rusting out in the driver side upper tube pictured, probably same on the other side, and I see a weld repair lower on the tube. Once water starts getting in there it will also cause rust in the lower ends of the frame where it gets trapped.
