I’m new to the forum, and I have searched but have been unable to find what I need. I’m refinishing a Meyer hardtop for a 1964 CJ5, I have replaced the window channel in the sides and top of the window openings of the doors but don’t know what to use at the bottom of the opening to keep water out. Hopefully someone has experience, and can advise me what I need and possibly where to get it.Thanks in advance.

    First post! Welcome.

You need the seal that goes between the door edge and the glass and stops water from going down into the door? What is the original material like? I have some old Meyer doors but I can't go look right now.

Looks like these are called "door wipes" or "window sweeps." You could search for some universal material that resembles what the doors have now. I would expect that Meyer used some kind of generic sweep material rather than having a custom part made.

Thanks for the reply timgr, the answer to your question is yes that is the seal I need. Neither the top that was on the Jeep when I bought it or a top I bought locally had any seal or remnants of one, so I have nothing to go by.

My doors are rough, but I don't see any evidence of window sweeps.

Automobiles have holes in the bottoms of the doors to release water that goes past the sweeps. There are plenty of big gaps in the bottom of these doors that water could escape from, but no holes dedicated as drains.

    nothing at bottom of windows
I used stick on door weather strip . like what you get at local big box store
but only used it from window opening down and around door except left a missing spot at bottom for water to get out
top of door the seal is stuck to windshield filler strips .
top of door on hard top channel
now if you didn't get the little metal piece for the gas filler indent . then there's a big gap there

I'm not sure they ever had anything. I ran mine for years in rainy winters and the water just ran through with no Ill effects.

    Welcome from France.(y)
The doors are not closed so water goes away through the bottom.
In fact I don't use my Jeep under rain.
But it happened unfortunately, and no problem.
I have all painted with anti rust paint and I spray wd 40 inside..
