That’s about 99% all original as it sits beautiful Jeep concentrate on the mechanicals and enjoy it.

I'm another that would leave it alone. Only fix what actually needs fixed. Drive it! The only change I would be making if it were mine is relocating the spare tire but if one is just doing mild trails, maybe that isn't even necessary.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve definitely decided to forget about the restoration and focus on the mechanical things.

The location of the spare is definitely in the way.

I really want to add the winch that lockman suggested. Just not sure what you all usually go with on a Jeep like this. The alternator is the 35amp Motorola so I’m sure that will need to be upgraded to accommodate a winch?

Great Looking Jeep! Would you have any pictures that show what the self canceling signal portion of your turn signals looks like? Does it ride on the on the steering shaft or on the steering wheel?

    Thanks.

I’ll try to get you some close ups of the cancellation wheel tomorrow.

I don’t think my steering shaft turns so the wheel rides up against the base of the steering wheel where it connects to the shaft.

Here’s a pic of how mine is currently set up. Not sure if this is where it’s supposed to engage the steering wheel but it seems to work pretty well as long as you adjust the cancellation wheel to be tight against the steering wheel

That is a beautiful Jeep. After my 5 year journey of a F.O.R. I would add my vote to those above that said you have a beautiful Jeep as-is, work on the mechanicals and address any safety issues and drive and enjoy it.

Hey. I thought you were asking a question if my Jeep had mounts. I was just try to respond to what I though you were asking. I’m not looking for any info on winches on this thread.

I’ve been going through the winch thread though.

    Sorry for the confusion

Thank you so much. I found a guy that has new old stock turn singles, but he made it sound like there has a slot in the column that the cancellation wheel contacts.

I think your set up is correct!

Hey. No worries and thanks for the apology but none is necessary. Just a misunderstanding on my part.

Thanks for the pics of the winch. I think that’s what I’m going to settle in on. I like the looks of that.
