Bestop Supertop Black Crush Or Denim

Whats the recommended black for a supertop? Crush or denim?

I would like to know also. I wonder if the denim would be hard to clean when it gets mud on it?

 

The denim is more of a dark gray than anything. I suspect the crush would be easier to clean since the surface is a bit more smooth.

 

The denim is harder to clean than the crush. My best top is more than 28 years old and is still in pretty good shape.

 

I am just finishing up installing a black denim Supertop on my 5. The color is black, it may fade to gray but it is a dark black now. No idea on how easy it is to clean, I should know better after the PNW-Tillmook trip.
There can be an issue with where Bestop places the bracket that holds the bows. one screw hits or is very close to the tube right behind the front seats, hold over from original Jeep tops. I found some old threads that showed the problem so I was prepared. The fabric is really tight and the last couple of inches of the last corner of the last side curtain is just not zipping shut. I have been hoping for a hot sunny day (like we had when I started this install 2 weekends ago) to streach the fabric easier. The last 4 days haven't cooperated.

 

I went with the crush because the colour and texture matches the Bestop Trailmaxx II low back seats.

 

I have the Black crush bikini. It looks like it belongs there. Really compliments the curves.
