Great project that I somehow missed until now. I'm sure you'll get the issues sorted out quickly and then we can see some driving pics!

Finally drove it. It took 3 years and two months to get it back on the road. It drove great, brakes worked great, but my carb is leaking gas from where the pump lifter link exits the bottom of the carb. I had the carb rebuilt from a reputable carb company in California but I do t know if it’s something they did. When I got the engine started 3 weeks ago it ran great and no gas was leaking from this area. I let it run for awhile in my shop with no problems. I then took it for its first run on the black top and this is when the gas leak started. It ran great for about a mile and as I was making my way back to the shop it killed and then I got it restarted and this is when I realized the carb was leaking. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pics of the Jeep before I took it for a test run and a picture of where the gas is coming from.

Thanks for the kind words. I’ve done a little research on the carb and found some useful info and think I’m headed in the right direction. I’m trying to look at it as a learning experience but I was highly dejected to see the carb leaking like that.

Great restoration! Is it possible the float is set too high, and it's overflowing? There's always stiff to tweak when you get a project on the road. You'll get there.

    Congrats on the first drive!

I had some trash in the needle valve and once that was removed the carb has been in it’s best behavior. Also got the soft top installed which was basically the last big project. I’m going to take her from the farm to my house in Baton Rouge and reveal her to a little city life. Working on my graphics which will be applied to the Jeep to promote my honey company.

Got the top on and the carb issues fixed. Close to getting it home.

I know a Jeep rebuild is never done, but for now I’m calling it a wrap in my Jeep. I finally got the Jeep to my house from the shop and got it registered and insured. I’ve been driving it around town when the traffic dies down and have really enjoyed it. Have not gone Any great distance as I want to make sure all the kinks are worked out.
