Richard in AZ I just don't understand the like of patina

The winch below was on an old parts jeep I purchased. With my power steering I dont have any use for it. I know nothing about winches. Considering the size and weight I probably will have to sell local.

Can anyone advise me what a more than fair price would be?

Depends on how complete it is. It looks like the winch is complete and you have at least some of the shafts but do you have the PTO unit and controls? Roller fairlead? That can make a huge difference in value. Location also makes a difference as well.

In my region, I would say a complete set-up would be $500-$600 for me to be interested.

Winch alone maybe a strong half of that?

I'd say in the 400-600 range, too. Not common from my perspective, and very much still a valid setup if you want to run a PTO shaft with Ross steering. I see PTO shafts fairly commonly, so I don't think a buyer would have a hard time finding NOS, used or doing a custom cobble-together setup.

Not having the PTO, might drop the price in my range, but not by much?

Winch alone around here runs about $200. I just got one with a detached disassembled electric motor and nice fairlead for $120 though.

Thanks Gentleman...... think I will list local for $200....I have no idea of the condition and need the shop space.

Spool off all that heavy steel cable and I would pay for the winch to get shipped without it. They are not as heavy as they seem.
