68 Cj 5 V6 Axle Splines

    Hey gang. Does anyone know the spline count on my 68 Dana 44 dauntless. I know it should be 19 but I keep seeing references to a possibly of 27 splines..

    Should be 19. The only 27 spline axles I am aware of would be the 27 spline outers for a front axle and external type hubs. This would be the spline count for the matching lockout hubs or drive flanges.
