I have a couple sets of blank windshield fillers bent up if you don't find any originals. I almost hate to say it but IMHO a good soft top is probably the most user friendly. I like the hard tops, Meyers half cab in particular.

Score another point for hard tops.

Not much to argue there. I have seen soft top Wranglers with canoe racks. Sort of exo-like.

Try again. I have the standard doors for this hardtop but I don't like how they look so I got an old set of Bestop doors which fit pretty close except to the top rear corner. Close enough. I got the little channels for the windshield from a friend. You have to do a little modification to the latch. The only time I use them is in the rain. It's California. I leave the top on all the time as there are too many fasteners. I haven't noticed the weight. IMG_20160210_132820297a.jpg

That's a good combination right there. Pretty much a best of both worlds setup.

Maaaaan, that makes me even more sad that my top (which was just like yours) got destroyed by falling icicles many years ago. I didn't like the doors either, but that looks great with the soft doors!

And you can sort of feel a little heat even. But it's Caifornia.

Thats an early "factory" top. I think it was '60 or '61 when Willys last used that. They look good on our early CJs.. Your tub appears to be '64 or newer. What year is your Jeep, and is the top original to it?

I have this complete top waiting for me to refinish and install it back on and I have been really wondering about the doors. This give some another idea that may work for me. I don't plan on driving it a lot at least not until I am comfortable at understanding it well enough to not be stranded far from home. Thanks for the photo and ideas.

The jeep was manufactured in 64, first sold in 65. We are the second owner.
Jeep was originally bright red. Top and doors came with it and were original red also.
