RATTYFLATTY I think you need a little more throttle

I was getting some exhaust noise coming back threw the carb and the power seemed to be a bit down. So after pulling the valve covers I found a exhaust valve that wasn't moving much. Then down far enough to pull the cam and there you have it, a lobe with no lobe and a dished lifter. I'm looking at this cam from Comp Cams. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this one? Or a better option?

My motor is basically stock with a Offy 360 intake, Motorcraft 2150, GM HEI with stock exhaust manifolds.

Apples to oranges I know but My 4.3 has about the same cam and it moves plenty well. 252 seems to be the bees knees around here in the 225. 264 if you want a bit more over the road but I don't think It is better offroad.

Good cam. Expands rpm range without killing bottom end. Smooth. Watch the push rod length on reassembly.

Are you referring to push rod wear or to long with the new cam? Also thoughts on new springs, do I need to worry about coil bind?

That's the one I recommend most people run in the 225s. I have it in two of my motors now. I have gone up to the 260 for a bit more top end, but its' really not needed for these motors unless your going to run them at high revs for longer periods.

I know quite a few others are running it as well.
