Best Way To Remove Rust & Prep For Paint

    I have a rusty T14 trans that I want to paint. I chipped off the mud and chunks. Other than wire wheeling the trans, what can be used to clean it?

    I don't want to disassemble the trans. It works fine.

    I seal off the cane pivot, and avoid seal areas, then sandblast components like a trans/TC assembly. Then prime and paint.
