I've been searching the forum and online, but I haven't quite nailed this down yet. I need to buy a flexplate for my Buick V6 odd-fire (Casting 1381623) to mount up to a TH350 auto tranny I have. The tranny has the BOP housing, matching the engine.

I can't find the part on Rock Auto (searching under Jeepsters). Also, are there specific bolts I should buy at the same time?

I see that partsmike.com has the odd-fire flexplate, which I'm sure would be the right part, but it seems like I could find a better price than $90. Or is that the going rate?

    Thanks.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

Well, the Jeepster used the TH400, not TH350.
Don't know if the flexplates are the same.

I was assuming the flexplate would be the same, but I have no idea.
I guess I'd better find some casting numbers on the tranny to verify what it is. I wouldn't know the difference between a 400 and 350 by looking at them.

I'd look t the Buick listings for that era. As Jim says, no TH350 in a Jeep. The cars used a BOP TH350 though. Try 1964 Skylark with a 225. All that series of engine should be the same except for balance - Buick 225, 300, 340, 350. The V8s show a couple of suppliers for flex plates at RockAuto, but none for the 225. Jeep 225 shows nothing too. Presumably you could have the V8 part balanced for a 225. Or try the Buick specialty places ... I can't recall the name offhand, but someone here will.

If someone had a parts book, they could tell you the PN for the TH400 part - assuming it's the same as the TH350 - and you could search the net for it. IME Jeep adopted the GM part numbers in their listings, so it should work for GM sources too.

New info: I just looked at the shape of the tranny pan and it matches the shape of a TH400, not a 350.
The guy I bought it from was guessing what it was. I bought it because the Dana 20 transfer case and adapter that it came with was worth the price alone.

I still couldn't find a part number for the TH400 flexplate to Buick V6 odd-fire, but I I don't really use Rock Auto, so I might be missing something.

The OEM TH400/V6 Jeep numbers are:
1381226, later changed to to 994723.
