Was there a factory option for a LSD for my '75 CJ5 ? I've committed to keeping my drivetrain stock, if feasable. +.....it's a bit ' easier ' for this 'ol guy.

    For the front axle? No.

You could get limited slip for the rear axle from the factory; a Dana TracLock.

I don't think the factory LSD will be any easier than an aftermarket LSD, given the main obstacle to installation is setup. If you found a complete axle with a TracLock already in it, that would be easier. If I went aftermarket, I'd go with a new PowerLock, or maybe a TrueTrac.

Though not a factory option for Intermediates, PowerLoks will install if you can find one. What ratio is your axle.? 3 Series PowerLoks for D30's come up every now and again. The 4 Series are very scarce, but they do exist. One of our members here had one available a while back, but it was too pricy for me.
There are other limited slips, but I think the PowerLok is best.

Early Broncos used D30's and often had power locks. Tom's Bronco occasionally has them and I've found a few on Craigslist when the owner upgrades to a 44.
