    Gents,
Spent a bit of cash over the past couple months getting running and back on the road. Among other things I had a new Weber 2-bbl carb and exhaust installed by a "jeep shop." But when I got home from the shop the throttle cable wasn't installed properly. It starts and runs fine - I just can't give it any gas beyond idle (and thus, drive it).
Before, I had the 1-bbl Carter and the throttle linkage connected on the left; now its on the right side and I have about an extra foot of cable. I tried to simply use zip ties to hold in place and that lasted about 5 minutes. Does anyone have an idea beyond simply ordering a custom cable?
If no, I am fine taking that route. Anyone have experience in this area? Was looking at this site:
Throttle Cables & Linkage - Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies
In that case I'd need the jacket length, inner cable length, and total travel required. Anyone have tips for accurately capturing the measurements.

Every day this Jeep isn't on the road I'm getting a heap of drama so any help is much appreciated.

I found it may be best to start adjusting/setup from the full throttle point. When pedal is on floor the throttle linkage should be fully open. If the linkage bottoms out first and you stomp the pedal something will break. Ask me how I know.

The gas pedal and throttle cable from a mid 80’s Cherokee was a direct bolt on to my 1976 CJ. The Cherokee throttle cable is also longer which might help your situation. The junk yards are full of those old Cherokee’s..

So I ordered the Lokar cable - went with the 36" just in case. Rich - did you also install the Lokar bracket? And will you PM me a picture of your set-up pls?

    Thx.
