Fender Flares On A 69 Cj5

I am looking to purchase aftermarket fender flares for my 69 cj5. I found a few different kinds my question is it appears that the filler neck for the gas tank would interfere with the one in the drivers side rear. Can anyone suggest a set or has ran into this before?

Yes, the tank is under the seat

I don't know which flares you are looking at, but mine don't interfere, or even come close.

 

I am out of town right now. When I get back I will take a few pics. Scott, are you flares a stock replacement style? They look and fit very nice

 

I think the stock ones were a little different but those are the closest you could get new

 

I think I got my flares from Collins Brothers.

 

If you are using the old rubber style like, Scott Milliner then you shouldn't have an issue. Here is my 71, just for reference...
