I had no idea how good this tool was going to be. FB Marketplace, 4 miles from my house. $20.

Curved top edge of windshield frame I would have used angle grinder or hand shears. Would have taken 40 minutes and come out sloppy. This came out nearly perfect.

I might have to pick one of those up! Sooo much sheet metal work ahead!

Harbor freight sells an air-powered version with the die-grinder style body. I paid $20 on sale last time, and replacement knives are $5. I prefer that style because it’s not shooting the cord or air line directly into your work like the drill-body design, getting hung up every two seconds.

I'd do the air shears but I'm trying to go all electric to avoid shelling out the coin to upgrade my air compressor. I have a 2hp 10 gallon air compressor and even trying to run an air rivet buster was comical.

I have an IR version of the shears as well as a Milwaukee nibbler. They save my hands a ton of 'issues' from using the snips.

I then use the coils of cut for filler when I'm doing medium size hole fills ;)

    They work well.
Picked up a pair of these at a yard sale use them a lot.
Quit working and got them repaired for $20.00 or so.

Also picked up a Beverly Shear when a plant I was working at was closing. They cut sheet metal very nicely.

when i help my buddy do metal roofs, he has a Dewalt battery powered one. thats nice, no cords. and if you own dewalt battery tools, the nibbler is a good choice.

I overworked my milwaukee and had to add a brace to hold the front on. Ran it like that for years but now the jaws are cracked and its not working good anymore. I also have an air porter cable one i dont like it just doesnt have much power but works ok for the thin stuff. I have a really old unit works more like a nibbler but its a shear that works great for turns. I try not to overwork that one. My favorite is the hand sheer I use it constantly and do over 1/8" no problem
