Semi and flat paints take practice hard to spray them without gloss. Go faster and try a little dryer coat if that makes sense.

 

Hi Grant, gee, I forgot the name of the paint other than being a Shopline brand. But no, it's not the same as the mustang, but this paint job will be, Flat orange, pretty much everything will be Flat.
I should be starting a blog on it fairly soon, I've been lazy not having posted But since you reminded me, I'd better get started on it soon or else it will be done! lol

The hood here is freshly painted and not turned matte/flat soon~ it looks inticing!

 

Just ran out to check on the hood, it turned out so nice! I'm excited! Now to start thinking decals soon

How would these Miata seats look in the jeep? I had an extra set that I renovated a while back, but never could sell them, so I was thinking they might look kind of neat, plus they have speakers in the head rests

they look a little long in the butt area best to measure to see if there is enough length without a wheelhouse notch.

Thanks guys and yes Txtoller, it did wind up looking Pumpkin! lol I hope decals will lessen that effect. When we were looking at colors, originally it was to be a glossy color, but then Robo liked the flat look. So it's Flat~ I had mentioned the Miata seats to my brother, but he wasn't excited about them. I've got a lot of time in those seats! However, I could re-upholster the seats that came in it and be happy.

Perhaps a decal based on txtoller description~"The Great Pumpkin" in a font suitable, might be fun

We were following the idea of the look of this googled image, kind of got the shade off, but should come close enough

We took off the entire exhaust and cleaned it, I welded the joints and Robo sprayed it with Eastwoods Exhaust coating, the entire system for a nice clean look
We are really having fun right now!

HI!!

A new clutch cable~ I had Robo push on the new clutch system, and the first push the ball end came off. Luckily I was able to retrieve the part with a magnet!




Herm the overdrive guy came through getting the parts for my PTO, got it back together and obviously installed it.


Here the PTO shaft, I've installed new u-joints and it's ready for whenever we're ready for it


I've got two more days before the weekend, then grandkids and kids will be here and no more fun in the shop until Monday But have to kick *** over the next couple days

 

At the end of the day, I played around with the miata seats~ I think they may work, just need to play with them some more.










Also the Alternator came in today

 

They look a hell of a lot better than my Chevette seats!

 

Thanks Grant, I've had the restored Miata seats sitting in my garage for some time, never could sell them; maybe they'll be cool in the jeep

The project is looking great. Like those Miata seats. Built in speakers would be cool with a bluetooth amp connected to them. No visible radio. Although, with that being said, I do like the look of the stock low backs.
