Needs more Subaru.

 

So the 3B is back-burnered! I'm building a 3B tub from a really rusted donor. I have a NOS M38 front floor, repop forward quarters, and a DJ3 cowl/dash/firewall. All this will get merged to the original bed and rear sides.
I also have a '69 Bug convertable on my back burner. I have a 2.0 Type 4 engine from a Porsche 914, but it might get stroked to a 2.2 or 2.3. I haven't decided which transaxle, stock late bug, or 914 5 speed that will need lots of mods to work in a bug.
I built Baja Bugs for beach use for for more than 15 years, and used to daily drive a '72 Super for many years. When I moved to Florida 22 years ago, I sold off all my special air-cooled tools thinking I'd never go back, but I miss the Bugs and picked up a nearly rust free 'vert to start building on.

This one seems to be in real good condition. From TX. Cleaned up the front 1/3 with wire wheel in about an hour.

 

Should this get it's own super thread for a super Beatle?

 

I had a 66 but the floor fell out of it but I did get it for free and made some money off it. My cousin has a bug that my uncle fixed up.
