So after trying to just buff the new paint job I decided to try and wet sand. I guess I was so apprehensive because I had never done it before. Used 1500, 2000, then 2500 and had a nice matte finish. Used Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound and wow is all I can say! It took me a few hours but it was well worth it! Everyone keep in mind this is is Krylon spray paint so it’s not perfect!

Next on my to do list is replace my clutch bellcrank assembly and clutch release cable. My clutch rod is almost worn completely through and the bellcrank hole is more of an oval than a circle!

I tell you what, I have a newfound respect for painters and car detailers. Those guys and gals are very talented and have a level of patience that I only wish I had!

Fantastic finish. You need to send a picture to Krylon/DuPont.

That spray nozzle adapter is the must use for spraying a large surface. Using your finger on the top button on the spray can results in uneven pressure, as you finger changes pressure (and cramps!)
    You did an amazing job!!

When buying a new bellcrank, be aware that the cheaper ones are very thin and will wear out quickly!

Thanks! Yeah tell me about it, it is very handy, although I had to keep an eye on it. Paint would build up on the tip of the nozzle then it would drip. THAT was aggravating!

I bought an entire repair kit from Kaiser Willys. It seems nice but time will tell!

Your Paint Job turned out Magnificent ! Kudos for your patience! I fully appreciate that you sort of worked with what you had ( thrifty & inexpensive, LoL )
So.... Since I always start out well, but then always proceed to mess it up... I wonder if you have a minute to do a quick step by step, Particularly : After Primer, how many coats of Blue , when did you wet sand & when did you use the compound ? ( after all that , did you wax ? )
I , for one, am very impressed , Sir

In another thread awhile back I posted up the radio I put in my Jeep. It was just shy of $30. What really was appealing to me was the built in speakers. It does have outputs if you want to install other speakers as well (I did not). I had someone take a video of driving today and the radio playing to demonstrate how well you can hear it over wind noise. Only thing on my Jeep is a bikini top. In the video I am going about 25mph into a turn then get up to about 45-50mph toward the end. Turn your speakers up and I think you’ll be impressed by this little gem for $30!

Here is a link to the radio.

I also changed out my pitted and bumpy headlight rings with new ones. Anyone want a set of rough chrome headlight rings?
