I got a power brake assembly for a '76 and up CJ5. I know I will need to make modifications based on others that have used it. It came with a bracket to mount between firewall and booster. It seems much easier to not use bracket and mount booster directly to firewall by drilling new holes? Another post mentioned paying attention to stroke ratio. Is this the reason for bracket other wise everything lines up and by adjusting threaded push rod it will attach to pedal. Thanks.

Mine has OEM power brakes. It has a bracket.. I believe the bracket is needed to stand the master cylinder off the firewall so it can be attached to the beake pedal arm
