Didn't Jeep use bags for windshield washer fluid in early CJ's? I have OEM fenders, one with a bracket that looks like it was for washer fluid. Wish I could find a bag.

My 68 has no provision for windshield washer stuff. My 69 has a bag on the driver side fender. My buddy's 71 has an actual plastic reservoir in the same location.

What about a manual hand operated pump? Does the 69 have it? My 70 does and I need a bag. Going to the classified section to look. Thanks

My 71 originally had a bag hanging on the driver's side fender. The pump was a hand operated pump in the instrument panel. Both are long gone, I put a plastic reservoir with a built in pump in its place a while back.

Yes, the 69 does have the manual pump on the dash.

My 70 was gone. I used a FLAPS tank with pump.

My '66 Tuxedo had a bag and a foot operated pump on the floor. No idea what part or parts may have been there since it left the dealer.

I use a Camelback backpack for hiking and it has a water bladder/drinking tube built in. Seems like it would be an easy adaptation for a washer reservoir (nice big fill hole, pick-up tube, etc.). You may find an off-brand one for a bit cheaper, but here is an example...

You can always spin'em around backwards & write "Jeep" on the back with a crayon-

Perfect. Thanks. I have the pump, just need the bag. My son is going to be mad when I take his crayons. Since I have the provisions for the bag and my serial number is 358898 (which I thought was built around September 69) mine must have been made earlier?

Ebay search "windshield washer bag". There are options including a 12v pump for cheap.

Just called them. Guy I spoke with was a real jerk. I wouldn't recommend him as a good source. Kennedy American sells them too, I found.

Does anyone know when the transition to the later bottle as my 86 cj7 has . My August 1971 production model 72 has no evidence left of what it originally had

Most if not all the intermediates have a plastic bottle. '72 may be an outlier, but I know my '73 had a plastic bottle.

When did they start the bags?
