When I see someone restoring an old Jeep I have new faith in humanity and I sleep better at night. I think there will be Jeeps in Heaven...and coffee.

What are you going to do with the original rectangular guage holes?

I'm going to do the interior in a dark buckskin, I'll put some of that material in those openings

    PGHCJ5 I smell something broken...

This is a beautiful build. I really like the dark buckskin idea.
The guages will look like jewelry when done I bet.

    Got a lot accomplished today

Although I didn't start the truck to test yet, fuel and volt gauges seem to work, oil gauge pins to highest reading when key is on. Not sure if that will change when started. Lights all work as they should. Indicator light top left is high beam, top right will be amp light

The biggest headache is this choke cable I got from Kaiser Willys, it didn't come with the clip that holds it tight to the dash and I can't find anything that works. Also headlight switch knob from same place the threads are wrong. Grrr

Pretty much got the dash and wiring finished up. Holes with yellow wires are for turn signal indicator lights that didn't come in yet. Next, brakes and exhaust

As always you are doing a fantastic job.

On your oil gauge. Some aftermarket units have a G on the sending unit if it is a two post sender. The G is for gauge and the other post is for an indicator light. Don't know if this applies. I used the G for ground because I didn't read the instructions.

This has a "B" for battery "T" for terminal (sender) and ground
