Wheel Hubs For My 64

Im finishing up my front axle, and the wheel studs are practically falling right out of the wheel hub. I went and picked up new wheel studs and they won't hold.

Im looking for new wheel hubs, but for some reason Im having a hard time confirming the right ones. Its a 64 cj5 with dana 27 in the front. It has 10" drum brakes, and the bearings don't have any markings on them. The hubs have 35295f stamped in them and 25648. Im not sure if its the original to the truck. Any help would be great.

D30 disk will work. Use as original.

I think you want a Jeep PN 927348 - here's an example of a new one 11) Front Wheel Hub, Left or Right, Fits 1965-81 CJ with Dana 27 & 30 Axle

This is the right PN for the 30 with drum brakes. My book shows the Dana 30 hub for disk brakes is sold as a unit with the rotor, so you probably want to avoid that. May be the same part. I understood that the only difference is the back is machined flat to align the disk properly, and the ones from Midwest Willys seem to be machined.

Jeep sold 927348 with the bearing cups, but this looks like it comes without them.

Here are some used ones: Jeep Dana 27 front axle hubs CJ3A CJ3B set You could also try posting on the WTB (want to buy) forum here and on other Jeep sites.

Thanks for all the info! I didn’t think it was going to be much of an issue, but then when I went to looking it through me off. I was able to measure my bearings and picked up the right kit, and found the hubs I needed.

If it were mine I might tighten them up with a wheel on the hub and put a couple of weld tacks to the stud head.

I know, the PO has done that, and I wasn’t really thrilled with it. It still may happen.

Dorman used to have 1/2" wheel studs with several " oversizes" on the knurls. I went this route many years ago and never had additional issues. Might be a way to find the specs on-line to figure out what you need.
