Unfortunately it's not loose, failed after an event, got fairly warm as the grease was bubbling :banghead:

I heard a noise that sounded strange but my Jeep is so noisy anyway I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, went to brake and pedal went to the floor and it launched me sideways nearly into a stone wall.

thing that can happen...normaly you will get a spongy brake pedal when before the bearing destroy itself

Any number of things that could have failed, but bearings would be high on the list. The spindle still looks straight.
We'll need pictures when you get it apart.

Hope you come out with minimal cost and downtime. Some of the new parts are not as good made as they once were.

The thought of getting away lightly with this incident evaporated after I took the hub off
    IMG_20181005_219.jpg

It only got worse from there

    IMG_20181005_29941.jpg

I think I can salvage the hub

    IMG_20181005_39856.jpg

It was a real mess, spindle is shagged, bearing cage welded it's self to it, Warn hub destroyed. Only bit of good news was the other side is perfect

Don't write off the spindle too quickly- a little work with the grinder, a chisel, BFH & file might surprise you.
