Allows you to scoot around shop if you have the room. Can sit and work on a lot of areas of a project. Opps! need a tool, scoot over to the tool box nd get it.
Save steps, save time. I use it all the time. Just a old office chair with wheels.

    Thanks, gota scoot. :)

The last shop I worked at before I moved west, I did a ton of welding of heavy equipment on my knees. I threw together a rolling stool out of some scrap pipe, sheetmetal and some casters. It made life so much easier, but the old boss-man was relentless at making fun of me for being lazy... sitting while I work... blah, blah, blah...

My last day of work when I was packing up my things, I couldn't find my stool to take with me. I asked the old man if he'd seen it, and his half-smirk while saying no was a dead giveaway. I let him think he pulled on over on me.

A few months later when I was back in PA to pick up another load of stuff, I stopped by to say hi, and he was sitting on my "missing" stool while busy welding. I snuck up behind him and yelled, "HEY! Get off my stool, you lazy bum!!" He was so embarrassed.

Got myself a harbor freight rolling stool. It is a lot easier to roll around, with these athritic joints, than get up and down a lot.. When welding i feel more relaxed sitting rather than squatting or kneeling. Stools are like bi-focals, they are hard to get along without.

Right on. I like the Heavy Chevy name. In the 90's my son I bracket raced a 1970 2 door Chevy Impala with a warmed up 454. Didn't go that fast, it was very consistent, and he could cut a light. Just foot brake racing, but we beat a lot of expensive cars. We did a lot of innovative things (not cheating) and won a lot of races. Best night ever in Shreveport La he cut 3 perfect lights, one in the final round against a $40,000 roadster. They asked us not to come back, but relinquished after I let them totally inspect the car. Wow, got carried away. Sorry.

Is it bad if you have two rolling stools? I'm not admitting to feeling guilt, yet. It lets my 11yr old helper have a hangout too, yeah, that's it...

That company can out to my work and gave us a demo, even had several mechs try it out, cost $10K each, but you get a price brake for orders over 20 or more.

I've had a Harbor Freight pneumatic roller seat (the round one with a lower tray) for over 5 years, and it still works perfectly. I found it really handy when I was wiring all the switches and receptacles in a new house. The tray held the wire stripper, wirenuts, tools, etc, and I could scoot from box to box without having to get up. The thing was like $18 with a coupon- money well spent!

aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

I had one of those harbor freight scoots like Tim posted and the wheels kept falling off. Finally the metal tore around the hole. So I attached it to a harbor freight furniture dolly. More stable but less maneuverable. Not idea for me but works.

    nickmil In mothballs.

I also have the HF seat. Works well for me. Never had a problem with the wheels as long as the mounts were kept tight.
