Accelerator Pedal Setup

What types of accelerator pedal setups are you guys running in your intermediates?
Do any of you run a Lokar or similar universal setup? Pictures would help.
I’m looking for something different than stock that has a better drivable angle to it, if that makes sense. I have Corbeau seats in my Jeep, and it feels like the accelerator pedal does not set well with the angle of my foot. Thanks

I welded a bolt to the shaft which holds a skateboard bearing.

Then I made a flat piece of steel pedal and welded a hinge to it and welded that to the floor.

    Super simple, super improvement.

Cool! So, similar to an early floor mounted pedal?

Ribbed rubber stair runner is only a few bucks a foot at Home Depot. You could get a piece of that and glue it to your pedal for a non-skid surface. Looks cool otherwise!

I thought about something like that but so far I like the skidding(?) skidable(?) surface. I haven't gotten it wet or muddy yet, but it seems nice to have my shoe slide on it as you press it. Going wheeling in a couple weeks, may change my mind and want traction after that (y).

Or put one of those barefoot looking pedals on it.

If you like the old military style gas pedal like the ones used in the GPW or MB, go to Midwest Military website. They have replacements available.

I got an XJ one today. How did you mount it? Did you mount the pivot in a different location than the stock CJ? If so, did you drill a new hole in the firewall for the cable? Or did you transfer the pedal and rod from the XJ pivot to the CJ pivot and keep the cable routing stock?
