Also I measured inside of drums and they measured 10” I’d. Spring perches are 28” across.

It’s definitely a 5 on 5.5. I just put my rim over it. So I know that for sure as well. Tag has a ratio as 3:54

The locking hubs are six bolt. Which is good... suggests pre 1981 I think

A 76 that someone bought and swapped out their 10" brakes on to get some 11" backing plates for another axle??? Easy to throw Chevy caliper brackets onto so you have discs.

Yep, I mean its pretty old. PO or the PPO could have switched. Also explaines the replaced warn hubs. Thanks!

So am I looking for 1970 - 86 1/2 ton Chevy pick up? Then work through Rock Auto or local salvage yards for the rest of the brake parts? Thanks again. Will be doing more researches....

So Can you guys explain/clarify whats happening?
I manually rotate the passenger hub and the yoke spins but the driver hub does not.
I manually rotate the drivers side hub and the yoke spins and the pass side hub spins.

Sum of all movements must equal the yoke turns times the gear ratio for each wheel. Hold the yoke, spin one side and the other side should spin in the opposite direction. Turn the yoke and one side holds still and the other spins at twice the gear ratio.

Yoke turns / gear ratio = (left wheel turns + right wheel turns) / 2

So if you turn the yoke 1 turn and the ratio is 4:1, both wheels turn 1/4 turn, or one wheel stays still and the other turns 1/2 turn, or some combination of that.

ahhhh... got it - runs down to basement to try - . Thank you. Also been re digging into Fockers brake sticky and found some good dana 30 disk info. Thanks a bunch!
I will try to keep the questions specific after I have exhausted searches. Cheers!

The number you listed is the BOM number. That number corresponds to a 1976 axle from my Spicer Model 30 parts list. If you have the 3:54 ratio, you might find a -2 at the end of the BOM.

Thanks Donny but you know what’s weird, the number I posted is the first set of numbers - closest to the pumpkin. Isn’t that supposed to be the date? Either way you are correct. There is a 2 just after that number. Thanks for the help!
