Anybody have any idea where I can find a used driver's side tail light housing? Just bought a Commando and am trying to fix it up. The metal under the tail light is so mangled there is no way I can ever massage it back into shape. I have searched and realize no one makes an aftermarket one so I am looking for someone who has a wrecked Jeepster and is willing to sell me this body part.

Thanks, I will give him a call. I have dealt with him for my Willys pickup parts, didn't know he had Jeepsters too. Thanks.

I have a set in decent condition. Not perfect but all there. $100 plus the $18 flat rate box.

My commando is missing the OEM taillights, which have been replaced (by the previous owner) with a flat metal plate with inset universal trailer light fixtures. (It actually didn’t look quite as half-azzed as it sounds). I had been planning to sheetmetal that entire area and install some 1950s Chevy or 1930s Ford taillights in that spot (again, a sleeker, more natural set up than it may sound).

This thread intrugues me, Daryl, if the OP is not interested, I may be interested in these OEM lights you have. Let me kick it around a while, but in the meantime let me know if that offer might stand for me as well. I have had luck in the past polishing up and rebuilding old plastic lights to look and function like new, could probably install some LEDs in there.

I was looking for the entire corner section sheet metal. I was able to find the part from one of the vendors, used, but in good shape.

Keep in mind that you don't have a Commando from what I see in your avatar picture. It it a Jeepster Convertible which is related to the Commando, but a different model. Many parts interchange, but the Convertible has many unique parts just for that model.
Jeepsters in general are not well supported in the aftermarket like the CJ's are.
