    Hello,

I have a 67 jeepster commando pick up w the dauntless v6. I have changed some of items before water pump w no issues. (Starter , ignition coil, battery, some wiring The truck was running fine but the water pump had just begun to leak some fluid, I swapped out for new one. Now that's done I have what sounds like a misfire, but how could it be. Did I knock something? Then I changed the distributor cap, rotor, and wires. Same issue. Timing? It cranks, just not starting, some backfiring. Please help

Is the distributor loose at all? Maybe got bumped out of position? Check with a timing light.

Plug wires and plugs clean and dry?
Leaky water pump can result in the fan blowing coolant around the engine compartment.
