I'm going to look at a Willys F-Head motor that is on a pump,I'm assuming that it would be the same as one in a cj-5 ,are there any differences like crankshaft end or bell housing mounts....Jim

I can tell you the f head industrials had lower compression then the engines used in vehicles. I would assume the same for a F head.

Check to see if there is a provision for a pilot bearing/bushing in the flywheel end of the crank. I got a reground crank once and there was no pilot recess!

With a Willys 134 std. Is 6.48-1 the high altitude is 7-1 the industrial is 6-1 the Supersonic head gets you about 7.2-1

I think the cams are different too.

Its possible the industrial cam is different then the vehicle cam but all the gear drive cams are the same.
