Got my compressor hooked back up yesterday finally. Noticed the pressure shutoff valve is leaking more now than it was a year ago. Ill get a picture of it but its the rubber diaphragm/seal on the shutoff valve.
2nd is i pulled the oil fill to see if there was oil in the crankcase while it was running and there was a bit of blowby. Normal?
I cant seem to find any replacement parts for the 342 model pump.
Anyone know of a supplier or if one of the other pumps are close enough that a repair kit for another model would work for some of the parts

Heres the pressure switch. I'm pointing to the diaphram thats leaking. I could get a newer switch i think but want to keep it old if i can. The woring box is square D.

I would say its normal . every engine/compressor has a little
    only check oil when off
really can't tell . is blow off on same manifold as shut off switch

The switch comes off that manifold. The diaphram that is leaking is just under the box. Right above my finger. Looks like im pointing behind it kinda...
That line goes to the front of the pump to release the pressure on the pistons so it will turn over easy to start. Cant think of the correct name for it right now.

I cant find anything online that resembles it. I dont have a pressure gauge either. Looks like the newer pressure switches have a spot to plumb in a gauge

    Little better shot of it

I wouldn't worry much about blowby unless it forces oil out of the crankcase or won't get up to operating pressure. That's interesting that it says use automobile oil, doesn't even say to use compressor oil.

I wasnt too worried about the blowby but the diaphram leaking at the pressure switch i need to do something with. It looses too much air.

Wouldn't a 220VAC well pump pressure switch work just as well? They are adjustable for kick on/kick off pressure.

Thats probably what ill end up doing. Wanted to keep it original but i cant find any info on google. That and the more i look at the switches, they dont really look that different from the old one. And my cover is missing anyways.

Found my regulator with gauge and plugged it in today. Tops out at 175psi..........

I dropped the line pressure down to 100. Surprised i didnt send the driver in my finish gun thru the drywall last night:whistle:

Looks like the specs are all good as far as motor current and pressure. I've allready got a seperate line for the unloader. Would that fitting on the switch work as a tap for pressure gauge or does the air on that second fitting get turned on and off as needed?

there is a tab inside that touches tip of unloader .when it shuts down , if you don't run a line to it . it doesn't do anything . from the sound of it . you already have one . so it would not be used . as to gauge . just install tee where your supply lines are

Is it possible to make a new diaphragm? Depends on how the stem is secured to the rubber, but you can buy diaphragm sheet rubber.
Determine thickness of rubber needed and call L.J. at Hampton Rubber-Norfolk 757-858-1900 or you can buy it at
