What Is This Under My Distributor Cap?

    Went to clean the point in prep for starting the jeep after it has been in hibernation, took the cap off and found this.. where are my points?

    Edit: i found a picture on the 2a page, it seems its just a cap over the points and condenser, i've never seen that before: Willys Distributors

    That's the dust cover found on the 4008 distributor. Got one just like it.

    Yup just a dust cover. Just lift it off and points are under it
