Yep. I seem to remember that the "as is" relieves the PO from any liability.

aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

This is one of those things that makes me wonder how anyone could think it is a good idea.

    "yay safety."

The front spring mount on my YJ broke clean off. Apart from the steering wheel being slightly off center, I never even noticed it for several months.

On my buddies cj5 20 plus years ago, the spring mount rusted out of the frame and the PO shoved a 2x4 in the frame and painted it black to keep the spring out of the inside of the frame. No lie.

I've seen that 2x4 trick before too, only they used pt wood and didn't bother painting it.

Spooky, that looks like a bush fix to get you home sorta deal. When buying a car or other stuff, People are interesting, some will tell you everything wrong and others are deceitful. It's hard to tell them apart sometimes.

When I bought my last two jeeps I had a real good look around at the jeep and sorta blocked out the owner and what he was saying at one point. I like to go under the jeep with a flashlight because that gives you a little privacy and you can have a good look around.

The hole above that.. is there a bushing or something that goes in there? The guy that is working on it me said he found a bushing for it..

Yes there is a bushing there. How about the other side, is it done just like the bad one?

Is the frame rusted thin where the bushing should go?

Mine has triangle leaf spring mounts all around. Why would yours not have any?
