Air Hose Repair?

What about making a crimper die by drilling a hole slightly smaller than the air hose. Then cutting the hole in half and putting the 2 halves In a bench vise and close it with the hose between the pieces to crimp it

Not sure what type of hose or what size you have but this is what I use. I know there are different sizes made. They are a little costly but are reuseable and low profile so as not to get hung up on things as easily as a hose clamp.
