    Hi all!

Looking to see what correct the side emblems that would be correct for a 1974 CJ-5. I think the ones I have are from a '76 or newer. Wouldn't a '74 have either the V8 (it is a 304) or an AMC emblem?
    Thanks!

It is V8, so would that be the red, white, and blue V8 emblem?

You can get them on eBay. Seen a few listings recently, not to expensive.

I don't think that's right. Some '74s may have gotten the RWB V8 emblem, but most have the black and silver "CJ-5" emblem. Same for '75. '72-73 V8 CJ-6s got the V8 emblem, but nothing '74-75.

I know this is an old thread but seems like the right place to ask,
I have the v8 AMC badge on the right fender. Does anyone know if the 1974 CJ5 Renegade 304 had a badge on left. I’ve seen two different Renegade graphics for the 1974, does anyone know if it’s accurate, or maybe I have seen mislabeled info?

The badges came in pairs in every instance, if that's what you are asking. Only the badge on the back/tailgate and grille were not paired.

Looking at the book, both the V8 and CJ5 badges appear. It shows three different Renegade stripe schemes for 1974 - the swoop with a gap for the body stamping (plus V8 badge?) type 1, a swoop with the body stamping low type 2, and a stripe with big Renegade letters and a Levis badge type 3. No time now; maybe later I can show you these.

Not good practice to hijack an old thread - you have a legit question. Better to start a new thread. Just FYI.
