Ramsey Model Dp Series Pto Internal Drive Chain

    The chain appears to be stretched in my Ramsey PTO. Is this like a motorcycle chain? If not, where can I get a new chain?

    Check for a stamped number on one of the side chain kinks. Sometimes there is something stamped on them. Within a mile of my house I know of four places that could help me out. Industrial or farming related business.

    Technically speaking, chains don't really stretch. The increase in length is the result of wear and looseness in each link pin, multiplied by the number of links.

    I'm just wondering how a PTO gets enough hours on it to wear out a chain? If it truly is, the teeth on the sprockets may be equally worn.
