hoping I can be schooled on ubolts and ubolt plates.
I need to put an order in tomorrow to get a discount!

    I am running a dana 30 front, and a dana 44 rear.

    I measured the tubes and they both are at 2.5'' (dana 30 - 2.5105'' dana 44 - 2.5400'')
The dana 30 on the passenger side casting that would take a larger ubolt measures 3.125''

what u bolts should I order? I currently have 8 new u bolts that measure 2.8150 inside to inside I am unsure if this is okay to use? I hate to spend more money to get the same ubolts. (they flop around the tubes, I figured they should be very tight)

    lastly!
spring plates, what do I need to order? plates off a M38 for the rear dana 44 and maybe plates off a 79 cj7 for the front? (side note, what should the measurements on the spring plates be, I have some for the rear but both ubolt holes differ on each, they came off a m38!)

I would greatly appreciate any help.

One of the U-bolts on the 30 is larger as it fits over the punkin next to the axle tube.. I have a set of front D30 plates from my heap. I swapped in a D44. Or you could look at R&P as they probly have the plates and bolts you need.

I just bought warrior products ubolt plates withskids. I like. Morris 4x4 had a good price.

I bought 7 or 8 inch length bolts, half inch in diameter. I will have to trim them.

My flanged 44 is 2.75"... The d27 used 2.5" except where it rode the pumkin, used a 2.75" one there. Sounds like they are similar, the d30 just a little thicker.

Most suspensions shops can make U-bolts in minutes. If your old ones were the correct size just take them to a shop and have new ones made to the same size. I just had a couple of new ones made for a recent repair and they were only 6 bucks per U-bolt.

Yes, I use Six States, but I have seen em on the shelf at Auto Zone and O'Reilly. NAPA probly has em too

I swung into a local 4wd bling shop the other day, they had all kinds, at a 100% premium of $20/ea but they had them...
