Doing a 60' cj5 build and I want to run some body lift blocks to help with a few clearance issues. I'm torn between 1 1/4" and 2". 2" would help a bit more but I'm not sure what issues it may create later (steering column placement, pedal positioning...)

Anyone with experience or advice out there?

i would go with as short of a block as i could it will affect everything you do later, pedals column shifters.

I went with 1 1/4" . The body (shell valley) is 8 weeks out so any updates or further questions won't be until July :(

aallison 74 cj6, 76 cj5. Has anyone seen my screwdriver?

As little body lift as you can get away with. The more you lift the body from the frame, the more issues you cause down the road.

forget the blocks if your still using frame mounted pedals

I guess you could lengthen the rods the pedals are on and make it work. Ross steering... not so sure how those angles will work out.

Frame mounted pedals was the plan. Gonna have to lengthen them I guess. Still seven an a half weeks from finding out. Good news is body block were only like $40 shipped so I won't feel bad if I have to leave them out and form a plan B.
