Electric Fuel Pump

Appears I'm having trouble keeping fuel to my carb (2G Rochester on a Dauntless) during heavy loads up steep hills. Does anyone have a recommendation for an electric pump that can deliver the fuel volume needed to the Rochester?

I've replaced pump, cleaning lines, checked the tank....May have sticking valves, but appears to be fuel delivery issue that I want to eliminate by trying a different pump.

    Thx

Ummmm, the mechanical pump is more than capable of delivering enough fuel for the 2G Rochester. Did you check the inlet filter on the carb? (I haven't looked at one in forever, but I *think* there should be a sintered bronze filter in the fuel inlet)

Thanks - I know it should. Trying to identify the issue with a different type pump.

If you want one to just check, Autozone and O'Reilly both have generic 12V fuel pumps usually hanging in the engine bling aisle, near the valve covers and breathers, and cone air filters and stuff, I think they're Mr Gasket branded, and not terribly expensive.

Thanks - Is there a specific max/min flow I should look for?

For this application, and that carburetor? No, not really, I don't actually even know what the GPH spec is for the mechanical fuel pump. I don't even want to hazard a guess, as I'd likely be wrong.

I went and checked if mine had any markings or such that I could pass on to you, but couldn't see any. :( (My jeep is running both)
The electric also helps in easier starting if you have the jeep sitting a while between using it.

The Mr. Gasket pumps come in two flavors: the 2-3 lb for the F134 and a 4-6 or so psi for the 6. I don't remember the flow rate at all though. And having the fuel return will change things also.
